the selfie cam where once again you
can take a selfie using just the s pen you can also use it to toggle through
photos or videos in your gallery change songs on spotify or even adjust the
volume by swiping up or down as you can see there is so much more you can do
with the pen than just writing and all of this without ever having touched your
phone one of the best things about android phones is you can customize them to
the max and samsung have made this so easy let me show you if you're on your
home screen or any screen for that matter and pinch in with two fingers just
like this then click on wallpapers and style you will see color palettes and
here is where you can choose a different color palette that is based on your
current wallpaper you can also choose to apply these colors to app icons and
once you're done depending on what you chose you'll notice the different accent
colors and icons so every time you choose a new wallpaper you can choose a new
color palette that'll change all the accent colors as well as the native samsung
apps then this is another awesome customization feature and it's basically
taking a video of yours and setting it as a cool background if you select that
option you'll be able to set whatever video you'd like to appear every time you
get a phone call you can even choose to use the audio from that video as your
ringtone and i just love this feature okay now this one is really cool for you to
try out at night and it's samsung's nightography mode so at night or when in low
light situations this mode is definitely going to be the one to pick within the
camera under more you will see the night option and if you toggle this on you
can just snap away while the camera tries to take in as much light and detail
as possible you can also choose max for a little bit longer light exposure and
honestly i was really impressed with the snartography the amount of color
detail and light this camera is able to pick up is definitely worth mentioning
not only that you can also take selfies and even videos all with this
nightography mode and i'm not gonna lie this one compared to other phones it's
pretty good then we have got to talk about the s pen again because aside from
those earlier features there is still so much more you can do within settings
if you toggle on pen to text when you open up google chrome for example you'll
be able to write straight in the browser bar without having to type out this
applies to pretty much any search bar in any application and it's just so much
easier you can even use this feature when writing out messages like in whatsapp
but it can sometimes get a little bit crowded so instead another option you have
is to click on those three dots and select handwriting within here you can just
carry on and automatically it'll convert your handwriting straight to
text whether you have really big or super
small handwriting maybe you like a bit of cursive almost every time it'll pick
it up perfectly oh and by the way if you're enjoying this video then hit that
sub button because if you do i'm just gonna be like okay so this is more of a
one ui feature but it's still really cool and basically if you set a timer
within the samsung clock then click on the home screen or open another app the
timer will appear as a little pop-up like this and you can carry on with
browsing your phone you can move the timer pop-up to anywhere on your screen
and expand it for more information if you'd like this is a really nifty little
feature then if you want even more brightness on your phone even if it's full
within the display settings you can toggle on extra brightness just keep in
mind this extra brightness will definitely drain your battery faster but hey at
least you have the option now here's a cool tip when messaging your friends if
you want to
send a super unique emoji just click
on this double emoji icon then the plus icon and in here you can choose any two
emojis and then also the animation you want for them once you're happy go ahead
click the done button and send this super unique quirky emoji to your friends so
now with so many video calls going on samsung have made it easier by adding something
called advanced auto framing so if you're taking a video you'll notice this
little icon and if you tap on it it'll activate the auto framing within a
couple of seconds it'll automatically recognize any faces and start tracking
them the cool thing is though as soon as someone else steps in the frame it'll
also recognize their face and expand the view the more faces it recognizes the
bigger the view and it'll recognize up to 10 different people not only that if
you tap on someone's face it'll zoom in and track them and to deselect just tap
their face again and select someone else okay now detail enhancer is a cool camera
feature that's actually quite easy to miss within photo mode towards the bottom
right hand corner you'll see this little dotted icon and if you tap on that it
enables detail enhancer this as the name suggests enhances all the details on
your picture which you can really see when you zoom in and with detail enhancer
on it definitely is more detailed it's kind of more sharp but still nice and
subtle and you'll notice a huge difference definitely on textures so it's a
nice one to try out and don't forget you can still take those detailed shots
and edit them even further with the samsung editor but believe it or not that's
still not the best thing you can do with this camera okay so raw pictures are
probably the best types of pictures to take just because the amount of details
you get with raw shots and the ones on the s22 ultra are no joke so what you do
is open up the camera app and make sure you're
in pro mode first then within the
camera settings under picture formats make sure
to toggle on raw copies then you can
go ahead and snap your picks and the nice thing is within the gallery you can actually
see which images are raw and which ones are not to edit your raw pictures i
would definitely recommend lightroom it is a free app and is
honestly amazing you can shuffle
between different lighting options two specific colors to enhance make your
picture come alive and holy moly the amount of detail you can get from these
pictures is so amazing it's kind of mind-blowing to see just how much detail
can be enhanced so when you finish editing your pictures you'll be cop smacked
now on to object to race this is not
exactly new but still such a cool feature once you've taken a picture if you
click on this little pencil icon and then these three little dots in the bottom
right hand corner you can select object arrays and then from there you can
pretty much remove anything from your picture you can use the s pen to get
really specific and draw right around the object and once it's selected click
the erase button and like magic it's gone this feature is of course amazing for
pictures like this when
someone is accidentally photobombing
your picture in the background i will admit it's not completely perfect and you
can't kind of see where it's erased the image if you look up close but still it's
a nice thing to have and hopefully it'll improve over time
then here is a great tip and one I really like if you open up Instagram stories for example you'll see the camera is activated by this little green dot in the top right hand corner but if you swipe down on the notification panel you can actually cancel the camera's access straight away and turn it off you can do the same for microphone access too this has been around for a while but maybe you didn't know within notes while drawing a shape if you wait and hold at the end it'll automatically correct itself so you'll have the perfect shape and not a weird wobbly one then if you want to hide that camera cutout within the display settings if you select full screen apps right over here you will see camera cutout here you can actually select exactly which apps you want to hide the camera cutout in so that in future when you open that specific application the camera cutout will be hidden and this is especially nice for apps like youtube when you watch videos and here's exactly what it looks like then did you know there is a battery protect option within the battery settings right at the bottom within more battery settings within here you can toggle on battery protect and by toggling this feature on your phone will never charge above 85 percent and will help the life span of your battery as mentioned i have some really cool wallpapers that you guys can download for free from our website hailsworld.com i will have a link in the description box straight to these wallpapers and there are six different ones to choose from overall don't forget to screenshot your home screen and tag me on social media at halesworld so i can see how awesome your home screens look yeah so give these wallpapers a try but definitely check out these videos right over here and i will see you in the next one you
